Logos
This is a fun tour through European logo designs. The selection is a world away from other rhetorical, well-structured books of logos, which place a greater emphasis on technical aspects and precision, in a field of design that mainly aims to achieve impact at first sight.
Graphic studio Side2 was founded by Tomás Machek and Ludek Kubík in 2003. Its portfolio includes big corporate clients (Metrostav, Sipral), magazines (Zlaty rez, Architekt), books and film posters.
Since 2005, Stepán Malovec has been working as an assistant for the Studio of Graphic Design and New Media at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. His portfolio includes Museum of Applied Arts in Prague, Moravian Gallery in Brno, Czech Radio, Czech Television, CEZ and Bernard Brewery. His graphic design is featured in the successful film Cesky sen (Czech Dream).
T-Shirt Design for Vienna-based Streetwear company Advanced Minority
The logo reflects the creative richness of Vienna and Austria: spots and the "W" are focused on the contemporary creativity. The historical example is the Viennese Modernism at the beginning of the 20th Century.
