Josef Hoffmann, founder of the legendary “Wiener Werkstätte“ designed this world renowned mocca set in 1929. The ribbed sides allow a variety of pattern possibilites and is available in ten shades. Due to the large number of rounded festures it continues to place very high demands on the porcelain painters of Augarten, when using the airbrush.

RY is more than a new interpretation of the classical plate set. Its form links the historically grown habits of European and East Asian eating culture. The design of the soup plates is based on the frozen moment of a liquid’s surface tension, shortly before releasing a drop. The low point of the plate floats only few millimeters over the table without ever touching it. The flat (bottom) plate is literally waiting for the drop to catch.

Water, an amorphous nomad, at some point in time between mountain and stomach in the Undine, forced into oriental surroundings. The Undine is filled from the top; water is poured from the neck. Upturned glasses close the receptacle. Can be carried in one hand.

I just realized that I make a comment for this designer before but here again I came upon some of my favorite products....I wouldn´t celebrate a fiesta in my house with many friends using these glasses but definitely use it for special guests when I want to demonstrate good taste in design
