Tableware
RY is more than a new interpretation of the classical plate set. Its form links the historically grown habits of European and East Asian eating culture. The design of the soup plates is based on the frozen moment of a liquid’s surface tension, shortly before releasing a drop. The low point of the plate floats only few millimeters over the table without ever touching it. The flat (bottom) plate is literally waiting for the drop to catch.
Tendine is a coffee and tea set consisting of a pot and a saucer. It is extensible to a complete set.
Water, an amorphous nomad, at some point in time between mountain and stomach in the Undine, forced into oriental surroundings. The Undine is filled from the top; water is poured from the neck. Upturned glasses close the receptacle. Can be carried in one hand.

Like a chunk of ice struck from a glacier - glass, cut like a sculpture.
A glass block is cut for as long and as deep until no sphericity remains.

Ryker takes up the spirit of recycling of everyday crockery which is no longer in use. China of various sizes, forms and of different ages is unified into a new set of tableware by applying a simple graphic element. Recycled china is upgraded into “silverware”.
They look like porcelain, but they are soft and unbreakable. The bowls are made of thermoplastic material, injected by hand.
Flora was designed for the viennese design fair "Blickfang" in octobre 2006. Sebastian Menschhorn is one of the young generation of viennese designers. He worked together with our young and ambitious silversmiths Urs Bally and Jonas Walter, who joined the company in 2006. Flora is available as a stand and as bowl. The material is our new less tarnishing silver.
Bright shining Sterling silver, guilded inside. The cups are available without guilding in plain silver material. Plain silver has antibacterial properties. Depending on that, it is an ancient custom to present children a silver cup for their baptism.
