The logo reflects the creative richness of Vienna and Austria: spots and the "W" are focused on the contemporary creativity. The historical example is the Viennese Modernism at the beginning of the 20th Century.
In 2009, Austria and Japan are celebrating 140 years of diplomatic relations. This anniversary is expected to spotlight the traditionally close and good friendship between both countries. By zooming in on Vienna, an exhibition and a series of associated performances are presented to introduce Austria's creative scene in Tokyo under the focus SPOT ON WIEN – Flashing Austrian Design and Music.
