Rigid Chair is about finding a new contemporary answer in the category of wooden chairs. Rigid Chair is a reinterpretation of the traditional wooden chairs in Austrian farmer houses, that were handmade by skilled craftsmann two centuries ago.
Furniture without reason.
Starting point was not a certain technique or material, but the user. The uncomfortable and too small looking chair surprises when using it and make you sit upright.
To explore only form - which turns a simple but rigid chair into a dynamic piece of furniture - to question design as sales argument.
