Seating
The starting point for this project was the invitation to the European Design Exhibition 2011 in Düsseldorf where 40 designers from 40 different countries were invited to design a stool that fits to their country.
The archetype for this project was the 3-legged milking stool used from farmers in Austria and within the whole Alpine region, for milking their cows.
The turned legs are fixed with a modified tenon joint on the plywood seat. This type of connection is used very frequently in classic farmhouse chairs, making it the ideal connection for this stool.
