champ is an independent, all-climate solar-light for the professional use, especially also in modern architecture-led environments. champ represents a big leap in the field of solar-lights. very productive photo-voltaic-technology, paired with highly efficient LEDs guarantee high lightintensity also for long winternights. every light installed allows the reduction of CO2-emission up to 2 tons in 25 years compare to a conventional solution. the unique tubular collector enables a harmonic appearance of a solar-streetlight for the first time, lacking the slightly tilted asthetically and functionally non-pleasing flat-collector, common to usual solar-lights. thereby champ becomes a strong symbol of the integration of innovation, environmental respect and smart design.
the dark tubular-collector-element is the heart of the innovative photo-voltaic-technology applied for the champ-solar-light. the capacity of the modul can be adjusted to the demands of different regions and places by extending its lenght. the shape-potential of this element was used to create an elegant, contemporary design, a new archetyp of street-light. the dark element was placed above the lightpoint, therefore the element steps back in darkness. therefore the light-effect is becoming more important than the physical entities necessary to power and elevate the lightpoint. nicely shaped light-objects are not a sufficient precondition to create a great light-experience, this can only be reaches by minimizing the contraints of the physical presence of a lightobject. with the design of champ, this claim was met in harmony with highly innovative technology in an impressive way.
