aunty is a classical floor lamp with a spherical base and cylindrical brocade shade. But this is visible only as a two-dimensional silhouette on a mirrored surface. Lights out and aunty is a purist object with no discernible use. Lights on and the depiction of the lamp itself suddenly becomes a source of light.
Form follows function – aunty interprets Louis Sullivan's leitmotiv from 1896 in an unconventional way.
Minimalist glass object with no identifiable details. When electricity is supplied, the depiction of a classical old-fashioned floor lamp appears. Different historical epochs are superimposed in an object. It is suitable as an ambiance piece.
