Scott is a series of five mouth blown glasses, designed for a bar at the center of Bologna. The vivacious and turbulent bar life inspired the design.
Following questions influenced the design process: What aspects influence the awareness? In which way do people consider and look at an every day object? Which changes can be triggered through a minimal form change?
Tumblers as well as stemware are simple and display straight lines, however, inclined 5 degrees out of the vertical. Standing next to each other, they provide an orderly view. Place them randomly on a table and the inclination of the glasses will produce a moving, seemingly chaotic picture – as if dancing animatedly on the table.
The varying thickness of the glass bottoms, when turned, creates the vision of a "wobbling" circular movement.
Advice: Scott glasses are hand made with cut bottom and dishwasher proved!
