SPOT ON WIEN – Flashing Austrian Design and Music succesfully presented in Tokyo
With a focus on the city of Vienna, Austria will be presented as the guest country at this year’s 100% Design in Tokyo. On this occasion, the Vienna Tourist Board and JULAND *Barcelona Vienna, together with their partners the Austrian National Tourist Board and evolve | impulse, invite their design loving hosts to center their spots on Vienna to enlighten Austrian design and music. Selected by an international jury, the 25 most innovative and exciting design objects of the Austrian creative scene will provide the ultimate preview of the design Mecca and cultural city of Vienna.
“Who knows Vienna only as the ancient capital of the Habsburg empire won’t believe his eyes when catching a sight of Vienna, this vibrant metropolis of design”, states Norbert Kettner, director of the Vienna Tourist Board, on the occasion of the presentation of the project SPOT ON WIEN – Flashing Austrian Design and Music at the Café Landtmann in Tokyo. At the 100% Design, the most important design review during the Tokyo Designers’ Week, taking place from October 30 to November 3, over 100,000 visitors will be able to admire contemporary Austrian design on 150sqm of exhibition space.
