Team 7's Precious Wood Bed riletto Wins Red Dot Design Award
by JULAND BarcelonaViennaThe bed riletto by Austrian natural wood specialist TEAM 7 has just received the renowned red dot design award 2008. 50 top products have been awarded with a "red dot: best of the best", out of more than 3,200 entries from 51 countries. Further 676 products have been confered the "red dot" quality seal for high design quality.
Despite its enormous size, the riletto bed seems to float on the floor, only the wooden head board joins it with the earth, creating a clear form, and a modern and noble aura. Its exceptional aesthetics are complemented by a perfect, handcrafted processing: The bed is processed completely metal-free. Elaborate, traditional wood fittings give the bed a permanently solid construction, making it also suitable for removals. The riletto bed is manufactured in five types of wood, two heights and seven different sizes, always ready for all bed systems, frames and mattresses.
Based on the slogan "design meets nature", TEAM 7 received major design awards for its furniture over the past years, thus taking a step forward in eco-furniture manufacturing. In moving away from a dowdy look towards modern, light forms, it is now followed by many other producers.
