8th Assembly Design Festival To Fill Graz with Design & Fashion

In its eighth year of existence, Graz-based assembly design festival is again the setting for exciting design and art from Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Benin, Niger and Japan. This year it will be more international than ever.

From 12 to 15 May 2011, assembly will bring 60 designers from 15 nations to Graz, converting the recently elected UNESCO City of Design into a platform for design and related disciplines for four days. Fashion shows, exhibitions, concerts, installations, Kastner & Oehler Fashion Award and many more things …
This year assembly also offers the opportunity to discover many innovative labels in one place, to talk with the designers face to face, to get first-hand information about their work and to explore the latest trends.
The new railcar hall of the Graz Köflach Railway will host the extravagant fashion show between rails and wagons for the opening event. The day after the fashion show, assembly will be back in the city, combining fashion and design in its habitual, unconventional way.
